MAKING A RESERVATION (WELL IN ADVANCE)

1. Bonjour, je souhaiterais réserver une table pour [nombre de personnes] le [date] à [heure], s’il vous plaît.
   – Hello, I would like to book a table for [number of people] on [date] at [time], please.
2. Y a-t-il un code vestimentaire à respecter ?
   – Is there a dress code to follow?
3. Proposez-vous des options végétariennes ou sans gluten ?
   – Do you offer vegetarian or gluten-free options?

ARRIVING AT THE RESTAURANT

4. Bonsoir, nous avons une réservation au nom de [nom].
   – Good evening, we have a reservation under the name of [name].

   – Thank you for welcoming us. The place is beautiful!

INTERACTING WITH THE SOMMELIER

   Etiquette Tip: When tasting wine, smell it first, take a small sip, and nod if it’s good. If it’s not to your liking, politely say:
   “Je pense que je vais essayer un autre vin, si possible.” (I think I will try another wine, if possible.)

ORDERING FOOD WITH ELEGANCE

9. Nous allons prendre le menu dégustation avec accord mets et vins.
   – We will take the tasting menu with wine pairing.
10. Je souhaiterais une cuisson saignante / à point / bien cuite pour ma viande.

    🔹 Etiquette Tip:
    • Avoid “Je veux” (I want); it’s too direct. Instead, say “Je vais prendre…” (I’ll take…) or “Je souhaiterais…” (I would like…).
